Cosy Accommodation in Štiavnica – your home away from home!
We are a couple of travel enthusiasts who decided to create a place where you can feel at home – even when you are hundreds of kilometres away from your own bed. Our family initiative was born from the desire to offer exceptional accommodation in Banská Štiavnica, with the comfort and hospitality that we ourselves appreciate when travelling.
An invitation to extraordinary Štiavnica
Banská Štiavnica is a town that will capture your heart from the very first visit.
It is not just about bars, cafés, pubs, pizzerias, wine bars or cigar lounges.
It is a UNESCO-listed town where history blends seamlessly with art and nature.
The rare harmony of preserved mining houses, narrow streets and fairy-tale views turns every step into an experience.
It is a world of tajchy (historic water reservoirs), mine galleries, the shimmering surfaces of 26 lakes, Sitno Mountain and quiet countryside. The entire dynamic of the town and surrounding nature is within easy reach – on foot or by bike, not like in the High Tatras. Just you and a space that breathes freedom.
Why choose our house?
We purchased a 170-year-old historic house and lovingly renovated it with sensitivity, so it would retain its old charm and the quiet whisper of the past.
It is located directly in the historic centre of Štiavnica, just a few minutes’ walk from Trinity Square, yet tucked away in a peaceful street where the bustle of crowds will not disturb you.
From the house, you can enjoy a unique view of all the main mining towers of Banská Štiavnica – a sight that will stay with you forever and further enhances the magical atmosphere of this place.
Its distinctive character is enhanced by installations of original graphic and photographic works by Slovak fine art photographer Peter W. Haas, a specialist in analogue techniques, and by young visual artist and graphic designer Nina Haasová. This is why we named our home Gallery Residence. You can book the entire house or just one of its apartments.

Welcome to the stylish duplex Gallery Apartment 1 and its neighbour Gallery Apartment 2.
Each has its own entrance, courtyard and outdoor seating – perfect for peaceful mornings with coffee, evenings with wine, or afternoons with a good book.
Original photographs and graphic artworks bring soul, authenticity and an artistic touch to the apartments – the very essence behind the name “Gallery”.
The apartments can be connected to create one generous space, allowing you to rent the entire house at a special rate.
Need even more space, or looking for something smaller? In the neighbouring house, a cosy Cosy Apartment awaits you – a separate accommodation unit ideal for a couple or a small family.
